Sadaqa Jariyah

means continuous charity. It is an ongoing charity that givers can benefit from even after they perish. Actions may have ceased, but the good charity that benefits others continue to add up on the scale of deeds until the Day of Judgment.

This concept in Islam is similar to the popular proverb: “Give a man a fish and he eats for a day, but give a man a boat and a net to catch fish, then he feeds himself and family for a lifetime.”

The contribution in providing the boat is the act of alms, as it can be used repeatedly as a tool to obtain food for one person or several people.

The Messenger of Allah said, “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqa Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased)” [Muslim].

"Spending in the way of Allah is a trade, a bargain and a business with Allah; an investment that will never fail."

The Masjid is raising fund to be able to build a bigger Masjid

to have a place of our own so we can have the facilities for the kids and to be able to have other activiies since its members cannot do it alone we need you help

in sha Allah.

This fundraising serves as Sadaqat Jariyyat (Continuous Charity) for those who support the cause of

Allah (SWT) and we want everyone to benefit from this opportunity. We are relying on your donation for this project to be successful. You will be rewarded Insha Allah for any contribution you make towards this effort.

Allah (SWT) said “O you who believe! if you help (the cause of) Allah, He will help you and make firm your feet.” (Muhammad: 7)

Your generous help is needed to achieve the goal of getting this sizable community together under one roof to worship ALLAH, to educate our children, to revive the Sunnah of our beloved prophet and to have a place to continue to spread and remind ourselves of the words of ALLAH.

Insha Allah, we hope to raise the much needed fund through this media. Your donation even if it is a penny will go a long way in achieving our goal; perhaps this may be a good deed that will avert your trials and ours.

Allah (SWT) said: “Beware! You are called to spend in the way of Allah, yet some among you hoard. But he who hoards does so for himself: Allah is above need, and it is you who are the needy. If you turn away, then Allah will bring other people in your place who will not be like you.”

(Muhammad: 38)
